Welcome to Silver Spring Warriors serving youth boys ages 5-15 in the greater Silver Spring, Maryland community. Silver Spring Lacrosse is a member of US Lacrosse in the Potomac Lacrosse chapter.

We participate in the Southern Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association (SMYLA) league and field teams in the scooper (U7), bantam (U9), pee wee (U11), midgets (U13), and junior (U15) divisions.

We hope to participate in summer tournaments and camps this year. We run a camp every Summer at St. Bernadette School in Silver Spring, MD.

Tentative Practice Times

In general, practices will be on weekdays and games on weekends.

If we have some changes in the schedule, due to weather or other events, we may have to alter the general plan.

We should be practicing (and playing home games) at Key Middle School.

We are beginning our preparation for Spring already! Practices will begin 1 March 2010.

We will be particpating again this year in the Southern Maryland Youth Lacrosse Association.

Silver Spring Parents and Volunteers Meeting

Welcome back to our Silver Spring Warriors. We are getting ready for Spring 2010.

We will be holding a meeting for current and future Parents and Voluteers that make Silver Spring Lacrosse the best group of people working together!

** We are cancelling the All-Hands meeting due to the snow storm. We may reschedule for the first weekend after March. **

In addition, we need to fill several positions within Silver Spring Lacrosse to ensure the best possible experience for our kids. The more we have the more the load is shared.

In particular, we will need help with:
Public Relations (at least website updates for schedules)
Treasurer
Field Organization (permits, paint, cones, etc.)
Apparel (jerseys, spirit wear, etc.)
Registration (sign-up, advertisements, etc.)
Coaches (even part time)

Also, we need parents who can help out with Team duties. Even if you know NOTHING about lacrosse, there are areas where you can help.
